We will be handling the computer classes a bit differently in the months of June and July. In lieu of having an occasional full class, we’re switching to one-on-one tutoring sessions only.
We will be offering sessions on most Wednesdays at Harbin Memorial during the months mentioned. Almost every third week, there will be a night session beginning at 6:00 PM. If you’re interested in additional information or would like to sign up, please call 338-4760.

The Muhlenberg Co. Public Libraries has lots of great programs scheduled for 2009. This week, we’ll re-‘launch our one-on-one computer tutoring and will soon be conducting full classes again. A complete schedule for the available one-on-one sessions appears below.

Computer Basics is a repeat of our previous class which many have found helpful. New to web surfing and the internet? I invite you to check out The Internet for Beginners, our newest class, which gives a basic overview of how the internet and World Wide Web work and what all it has to offer. We will also address how to stay secure online.
Each session is limited to six seats. If you’re interested in attending or gleaning more info feel free to call us at 338-4760. We will also be offering one-on-one sessions in September which you may also inquire about by calling the same number.

Thanks to all those that attended my first round of classes. I hope you all found them beneficial and fun! We now have new classes scheduled for June-July. We will continue to have them on Tuesdays at Central City, but, this time, they’ll repeat on Thursdays at Harbin Memorial. Hopefully this will give everyone a chance to attend that wants to.

Both our Central City and Greenville locations now have a laptop dedicated to printing tax forms. Our usual 20¢ per page fee applies to what you print. No electronic agreement is needed to make use of this service.

We’ve recently upgraded our DSL internet connection at all library locations. Now, instead of connecting at the rate of 1.5mbps, we’re zooming along at 3.0mbps. If you’ve yet to stop by and try it out, we welcome you to do so.
